Free from sin through Christ ~ John 8:34

"Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." We are no longer slaves to sin because the Holy Spirit always provides a way out leading us to righteousness or right living with God so we become slaves to righteousness for we now belong to God, we are no longer our own and when we come to Christ He cleanses us from all unrighteousness though faith when we remain in Him.
