Obedience to God is better than sacrifice

Obedience to God is better than sacrifice. God is after our hearts and at the end of the day what does it profit a man to gain this entire world and lose his soul. We are to do all things through love and patience/self control. The sacrifice that God seeks is a spiritual one of a broken and repentant heart. One that is ready to die to self, pick up one's cross everyday and choose to remain in Christ by obeying his precepts by being a doer of the Word, and by so doing the Word becomes flesh literally because then one will truly be a disciple of Him who called us and predestined us for good works in Him before the world was. For one who rules his spirit is better that one who conquers a city. Obedience is what this is all about we've got to learn the mind of God which was in Christ Jesus through bearing the fruit of God who is Spirit who dwells in those that believe. Amen
